State Public Scientific and Technical Library of Russia to open Myanmar Book Corner

The Myanmar consulate-general arrives at the library and convenes a meeting with the officials.

One of the largest libraries in the world, the State Public Scientific and Technical Library located in Novosibirsk, Russia, is planning to open a Myanmar Book Corner at their establishment, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
For this purpose, Myanmar Consul-General U Pyae Phyo Wai met with Mrs Irina Vladimirovna Lizunova, Director of the State Scientific and Technical Library of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, in Novosibirsk on 29 February.
The director mentioned that their library houses both science and technology books along with literary works. Establishing a Myanmar Book Corner symbolizes the friendship and spirit of sharing between the two nations.
The consul-general emphasized the significance of literature for humanity and conveyed his pride and delight in establishing a Myanmar Book Corner at the library, following the example of other countries. He also pledged his continued assistance and support and presented his gifts. — ASH/NT
