Supply of water, thriving vegetable plantations in Hmawby Township inspected

Yangon Region Chief Minister U Hla Soe and Yangon Command Commander Maj-Gen Nyunt Win Swe view thriving vegetable plantation.

Yangon Region Chief Minister U Hla Soe, Commander of Yangon Command Maj-Gen Nyunt Win Swe and officials inspected construction of the water pump station for Hline River-Hlawga water supply project and tasks to supply 60 million gallons of water to Hlawga reservoir through 60-inch diameter water pipelines in Hmawby Township on 15 August.
Mayor U Bo Htay and officials reported on progress of work. The Chief Minister instructed officials to soonest complete the projects and presented COVID-19 protective equipment including PPE suits to philanthropic organizations from Hmawby Township.
The region Chief Minister, the Commander and party also visited a private fish farm and an organic vegetable patch on 100 acres of land in Nyaunghnapin agriculture and livestock zone in Hmawby Township. They viewed round vegetable patches, vegetables, natural pesticides and plant vitamins. The vegetables grown by 200 farmers are sent to Yangon market at fair prices.
