The Myanmar national team is preparing for the second-round qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup to be played this month, as stated by the Myanmar Football Federation.
Team Myanmar has been taking training since 6 November, but due to Shan United’s AFC Cup group match and those playing in foreign clubs being able to join late, there were few days for all players to practice.
Myanmar national team head coach Michael Feichtenbeiner initially selected 29 players but later added some players.
The Myanmar national team will have more than a week to prepare for the World Cup qualifiers and will leave for Osaka, Japan on 13 November.
The Myanmar national team will play away against the Japanese national team on 16 November as a World Cup qualifier, and they will play at home against the North Korean team on 21 November. — Ko Nyi Lay/KZL
