Myanmar national football team has been training since 11 March for the 2026 World Cup Asia Zone Second Stage Qualifiers to compete this month.
The Myanmar national team has selected 35 preliminary players. Still, among those who are playing in foreign clubs, those who are playing in the Thai, Indonesian and Cambodian leagues have not been able to come and join because they have club matches and may join later.
Goalkeeper Kyaw Zin Phyo, defenders Nanda Kyaw, David Htan, Nyein Chan and Hein Phyo Win, midfielders Nay Moe Naing, Maung Maung Lwin, Lwin Moe Aung, and Myat Kaung Khant, and strikers Kyaw Ko Ko, Aung Thu, Than Paing, Aung Kaung Marn and Win Naing Tun will be in the line-up list of team Myanmar, as stated by the Myanmar Football Federation.
As World Cup qualifiers, team Myanmar will take on Syria on 21 March for a home match and on 26 March for an away match. — Ko Nyi Lay/KZL
