Temporary closure of Aung Yadana Private Hospital due to non-compliance

Aung Yadana Private Hospital in South Okkalapa Township will temporarily shutter for two months, from 1 May until the end of June, with plans to reopen in July.
A hospital staff member stated, “Currently, the hospital will be temporarily shut down. Patients seeking treatment from specialists can enquire at other hospitals where they practise.” The social media pages indicate that the closure is due to non-compliance with the directives of the Ministry of Health.
In February, Pinlon Private Hospital in Dagon Myothit (North) Township underwent a similar temporary closure for two months before reopening on 1 April.
Reports indicate that Aung Yadana Hospital, a member of the Myanmar Private Hospitals Association (MPHA), donated K10 million towards the purchase of the country’s COVID-19 vaccines in 2021. — TWA/MKKS
