Tender process arranged on 21 December for Botahtaung Pagoda cancelled

The Pagoda Board of Trustees has announced the cancellation of the tenders that were called on 21 December for the Botahtaung Kyaikdeatt Pagoda.
The tender works that were called to complete the full gold robe include double scaffolding, removal of old gold waste, purchase of 7,000 gold foils in size of 2″×2″ which includes 100 layers of gold foils, and donation of 9″×9″ pure gold plates.
In addition, gilding activities, copper frame, copper plate import business, and copper plating business for copper frames are included in the announcement.
The tenders were originally planned to be submitted and opened on 3 and 4 January, but they were cancelled since the activities were no longer to continue and the resumption date of opening the tender will be re-advertised in the newspapers, according to the Board of Trustees.
