TGL5 traditional Lethwei contest: Thwaythit Winhlaing defeat ShuKhalain Min

The Great Lethwei Grand Contest (TGL5) took place at 3:30 pm on 26 November at Yegu Studio in Mayangon Township, Yangon.
In the 75-79 kilogrammes (Super Middleweight Class), champion Thway Thit Win Hlaing defeated challenger Shukhalain Min in the first round at two minutes and 34 seconds. The champion also secured a victory against Tun Tun Min with the referees’ decision in TGL-3.
Saw John emerged victorious over Mya Lone Chaw in the first round of the 63.5-67 kg (Welterweight Class). In the match between Min Htet Kyaw and Si Toe, Si Toe was declared the winner by the referee as the competitors were not evenly matched. In the 63.5-67 kg (Welterweight Class), Soe Moe Zaw won against Ah Phoe Thway in the second round. In the 54-57 kg (Featherweight Class), Saw Ke Do secured a win with the referee’s decision over Daung Thatti.
In the 51-54 kg (Bantamweight Class), Salai Thang Khwee Shein won against Kyauk Yine in the third round. In the same class, Zwe Htet Aung won by knockout over Ye Kyaw Oo. In the 60-63.5 kg (Light Welterweight Class), Aung Ko Latt emerged victorious by the referee’s decision over Rain Kywe Naw. — Bala Soe/KZW
