Need to strive for manufacturing thread and textiles for local demand
At present, as the country has returned into normalcy with controlling Covid-19 to some extent, the government is striving for the improvement of the State economy. On the other hand, Tatmadaw textile factories need to meet the local demand.

Increasing per-acre yield of cotton and oil crops to help develop industries
Mandalay Region places more than 36,000 acres of land under long and short-staple cotton plants. Boosting per-acre yield will help develop industries related to the cotton crop. Efforts must be made to raise the per-acre yield of cotton in the Meiktila District.
