Two fires break out in Yangon Region, impacting Muslim Charitable Hospital

The hospital’s patients and those who had come to the hospital are evacuated by social welfare associations.

Two fires broke out in two townships, in Yangon Region on 9 September.
A fire broke out at the Muslim Charitable Hospital on Maha Bandoola Park Road, Kyauktada Township, at around 1:30 pm on 9 September, according to the Myanmar Fire Brigade Headquarters.
Zaw Zaw told The Global New Light of Myanmar (GNLM) that the fire lasted for about 10 minutes and was extinguished in time by officials. In addition, members of the Social Welfare Association, including those from Lawkahita Charity, assisted in relocating both the hospital’s patients and those who had come to the hospital to escape from the fire.
And, another fire broke out in a garage located in Ward 63 of Dagon Myothit (South) Township at around 1:30 pm. The fire brigade responded promptly, extinguishing the fire at Level 1, and it was completely put out by 3:35 pm. The root cause of the fire and the extent of the damage are currently under investigation by a combined team. — TWA/KZW
