UMFCCI Chair attends 12th Asian Business Summit 2023 in Seoul

The 12th Asian Business Summit 2023 led by the Federation of Korean Industries (FKI) was held at the FKI Conference Centre in Seoul of South Korea on 5 July.
It was attended by business people from Asia and President U Aye Win of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (UMFCCI), Vice-Presidents Dr Sithu Win and U San Linn.
At the dinner held at LOTTE HOTE Seoul on the 4 July evening, FKI Chairman Dr Byongjoon Kim made a greeting speech while Korean Deputy Prime Minister Mr Choo Kyung-ho delivered an honorary speech on the 12th Asian Business Summit 2023 and Chairman of Keidanren Mr Masakazu Tokura also made greeting speech.
The 12th Asia Business Summit 2023 was held at FKI Conference Center on 5 July. The FKI led the summit aiming to exchange ideas and challenges among the business people of Asian nations to ensure the approach to a better world economy overcoming the challenges for the development of the global economy.
During the meeting, the FKI chairman and Keidanren chairperson made greeting speeches respectively and Dr Dukgeun Ahn (Minister for Trade, Korea) made an honorary speech. At the plenary session, the business organization discussed Pivot to Asia Economy, Challenges for a better Asia, Globalization and Trade Policy.
The Pivot to Asia Economy Session discussed market creation, the economic status of post COVID-19 period, inflation, price index and promotion of investment and trading while the Challenges for the Better Asia Session focused on technology, digitalization, fine administrative system, AI, Robot, the fourth industrial revolution, climate changes, environmental issue, innovation, intellectual property and human resource development.
At noon, Korean Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr Park Jin made an honorary speech at the Emerald Room of the FKI Conference Centre and the Plenary Session continued.
Myanmar delegation led by UMFCCI president participated in the Globalization and Trade Policy sector and discussed the Global Supply Chains, RCEP- Regional Comprehensive, CPTTP- Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership, Indo-Pacific Economic Framework, Non – Tariff Barrier, digital trade and technology. — Myo Min Thura/KTZH
