UN Interim Coordinator calls on MoIP Union Minister

Union Minister for Immigration and Population U Myint Kyaing received Mr Marcoluigi Corsi, UN Interim Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator ai to Myanmar and his delegation at the ministry in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.
They frankly exchanged views on the status of visa and travel arrangements for the staff of United Nations agencies in Myanmar, temporary relocation of staff from United Nations agencies working in the region to Sittway, the temporary relocation and verification procedures for the UN staff holding the identification card (NV Card) due to the violent fighting of AA insurgents in northern Rakhine State, the delayed repatriation of IDPs in the current situation, and the work stoppage due to the ongoing engagement in the areas. — MNA/TS
