Union Attorney-General attends AIPA-42

Myanmar delegation led by Union Attorney-General Dr Thida Oo joined the virtual 42nd General Assembly of the ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly hosted by Brunei yesterday.
During the meeting, the Attorney-General said that being an ASEAN member country, Myanmar is cooperating with other member countries in building the ASEAN community to achieve regional integration. Moreover, the country will keep maintaining the proper relationship with the world countries and participating in AIPA’s activities.
The AIPA-42, themed “Forging Parliamentary Cooperation in Digital Inclusion towards ASEAN Community 2025”, is taking place from 23 to 25 August. The theme highlighted women›s empowerment, boosting of cyber security and information, ASEAN parliamentary cooperation, digitalization for SMEs, collaboration in the tourism industry in the post-COVID-19 period and to response the challenges of climate change.
The meeting was also attended by officials from Union Attorney-General office and Pyidaungsu Hluttaw office. — MNA
