Union Minister for Electric Power U Thaung Han visits Barsuchkovskaya hydropower plant in Stavropol Region in Russia on 19 November.

A Myanmar delegation led by Union Minister for Electric Power U Thaung Han who have already arrived in Russian Federation and Myanmar Ambassador to the Russian Federation U Lwin Oo and officials visited Barsuchkovskaya Small-scale Hydropower Plant and Kochubeevskaya WPP Wind Power Plant in Stavropol Region on 19 November.
At the Barsuchkovskaya small hydroelectric power plant, they were welcomed by the plant manager and officials, and the officials explained the power plant and the operation of the plant, and the Union Minister and members asked what they wanted to know.
Rosatom’s Barsuchkovskaya small-scale hydropower plant is located in the Stavropol Region, and 11 power plants are being built in a cascade along the Stavropol Canal.
The construction of the plant was completed in December 2020 and the installed capacity is 5.25 MW, and the power is being connected to the power system through a 35 KV power line.
The installed capacity of 11 power plants is 481.8 MW and hydroelectric power plants are efficiently constructed along the canal.
After that, the delegation visited the Kochubeevskaya WPP wind power plant and viewed the wind power structure in the plant area, and observed the conditions of connection with the power system.
Officials from the plant gave an explanation, and the Union Minister and members asked what they wanted to know.
The Kochubeevskaya WPP wind power plant, operated by the Rosatom company, is located in the Stavropol Region and it has been running since January 2021.
There are 84 wind turbines, each with 2.5 MW, and the total installed power is 210MW, which is about 600 million units per year, and is connected to the power system through a 330 KV power line. It has been built on an area of ​​160 acres and the total investment amount is about 28 billion Russian ruble.
The height of one tower is 150 meters, and the tower blade is 50 meters, and the total weight is 320 tonnes and it is easy and fast to build and install. The company is particularly interested in investing in Myanmar.—MNA
