Union Minister for Hotels & Tourism visits Tourism Village in Hsihseng

Union Minister for Hotels and Tourism Dr Htay Aung accompanied by Deputy Director-General of the Ministry of Hotels and Tourism U Aung Aye Han and members, Chairman of the Pa-O Self-Administered Zone U Khun Ye Htwe and members of the delegation visited Panlun village, which is being developed as a tourism village in Bang Yin village tract, Hsihseng Township, Pa-O Self-Administered Zone, southern Shan State on 16 October.
With Shan State Government Capital Expenditure of the budget year 2020-2021, K70 million funds are being used for the infrastructure construction of Panlun village as a Tourism Village under the One Township, One Village Project and K10 million funds are being used for conducting tourism marketing and tourism marketing.
Firstly, Union Minister Dr Htay Aung and party paid homage to the patron Sayadaw of the Panlun village monastery.
Next, the Union Minister met with Township Administrator U Htin Kyaw, Township General Administration Department staff, and local ethnic people.
During the meeting, the head of State Department of Hotels and Tourism U Htin Aung Naing explained about the infrastructure construction work being developed as a Tourism Village.
Then, the Union Minister inspected the renovation of traditional bakeries in the village, construction sites of Welcome Centre and the port site and made necessary orders.
By establishing Panlun village as a tourist village in Bang Yin Village Tract, Hsihseng Township, the socio-economic life of the local ethnic people will be improved and the township development will be implemented. —Myo Myat (Hsihseng)/GNLM
