Union Minister meets Thilawa SEZ Management Committee chairperson, investors

Union Minister at the Ministry-2 of the Chairman Office of the State Administration Council U Aung Naing Oo, who is also the Chairman of the Central Working Committee on Myanmar Special Economic Zone (SEZ), holds talks with the management committee officials and investors of Thilawa SEZ in Yangon yesterday.

Union Minister at the Ministry-2 of the Chairman Office of the State Administration Council U Aung Naing Oo, who is also the Chairman of the Central Working Committee on Myanmar Special Economic Zone (SEZ), held a meeting with the management committee and investors of Thilawa SEZ in Yangon on the morning of 13 January.
During the meeting, the Union Minister emphasized the need for the successful implementation of the Thilawa SEZ, the resumption of conditions, the continuous processing of current investments, and the attraction of new investments.
Furthermore, discussions and coordination took place in a separate meeting with entrepreneurs involved in investment activities in the Thilawa SEZ. Topics covered included state conditions, challenges faced, and issues related to increasing exports in the business promotion zone.
Later, officials from Myanmar-Japan Thilawa Development Limited (MJTD), the developer of Thilawa SEZ, had a separate discussion with the chairman and Thilawa SEZ management committee members to plan and coordinate future activities. — MNA/TKO
