State Administration Council Vice-Chairman Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice-Senior General Soe Win, accompanied by officials, visited the Animal Husbandry and Training Battalion yesterday. They inspected seasonal and substitution crop breeding programmes for various livestock, including laying hens, dairy cattle, meat cattle and pig farms, providing necessary guidance based on briefings from officials.
The inspection also covered the production and distribution of pure seeds for various crops, as well as the utilization of organic compost from animal dung. Discussions revolved around the process of pig breeding, emphasizing the benefits of artificial insemination for improved productivity.
In addition, the Vice-Senior General examined collective agriculture land at the Tatmadaw Combat Training School in Bahtoo, identifying new farmland and observing planting activities for summer crops such as paddy, potato, and soybean.
