Wingback and midfield duties are different says Shan player Thet Paing Htwe

Shan United midfielder Thet Paing Htwe said that the duties of wingback and midfield players are different, according to the team’s interview with the player.
“It was my considered opinion that I had better play at midfield, than as a wingback. To say frankly, I’m not the guy who plays as a wing-back. The wing-back plays are to have very good stamina and can run so fast and have good endurance,” said the midfielder Thet Paing Htwe.
“For instance, it is sort of Ko Kyaw Zin Lwin, A Nge Lay (Zwe Htet Min). I can’t run like them, I know myself. Moreover, Saya Han Win Aung also said that it is a place for a defensive midfield player (DMF), and it is okay for me.
“The duties of wingback and midfield players are absolutely different, although both are serious tasks. Now my playing position as a DMF become a more serious task. There are only defenders and a goalkeeper behind me,” he continued.
Thet Paing Htwe also stressed the important role of the goalie and back players.
“By the way, our defenders and goalkeeper are really reliable players. The goalkeeper Ko Kyaw Zin Phyoe save the day many times. Similarly, Center Back players, Sin Ma (Ye Min Thu) and Ko Aung Kyaw Thu are really strong players.
“Every aspect of the defending ball from the other side is okay for them. They are powerful players and not afraid of anything. Sometimes, we are trapped in counter-attacks, we are only three players including me, and the offending players are also three, but we can handle it comfortably,” Shan United star added.
The Shan United players also praised the skills of his teammates.
“I trust my teammates. They can control bad situations. When they are to deter the ball distribution of opponent players, they do it smartly. We can really rely on them. At the wing position, there are Ko Kyaw Zin Lwin and Ko Poe Nge (Hein Thiha Zaw); they are my senior player, like my big brother. Because of their support, I can play well my position.
