Working Committee to address the Impact of COVID-19 on National Economy meets

Union Minister Dr Kan Zaw chairs the meeting 1/2023 of the Working Committee to address the Impact of COVID-19 on the National Economy yesterday.

The meeting of the Working Committee to address the Impact of COVID-19 on the National Economy 1/2023 was held yesterday at Office No 1, Ministry of Investment and Foreign Economic Relations.
The meeting was chaired by Dr Kan Zaw, Union Minister for Investment and Foreign Economic Relations. Members of the Working Committee, deputy ministers for Planning and Finance, for Investment and Foreign Economic Relations, for Labour and for Commerce, the deputy governor from the Central Bank of Myanmar, the permanent secretary, directors-general and representatives from the ministries concerned also attended the meeting.
During the meeting, they discussed matters of the working committee regarding the coordination on loan repayments and the situation in which loan repayments were extended by one year to the fishery and livestock sector, loan recovery plans for the companies which has completed three years of loan maturity, providing capital into the State’s revolving fund and also one-year extension for the film, music, theatrical, press and media sector.
Moreover, Deputy Minister for Investment and Foreign Economic Relations Dr Wah Wah Maung, in the capacity as the secretary of the working committee, discussed loan repayment monitoring situations in states and regions as well as the circumstance of the success story of the companies and businesses that have taken out loan, capital and interest return.
The meeting also discussed relief measures carried out by concerned ministries, works regarding the statement on the one-year extension of loan for the film, music, theatrical, press and media sector and upcoming plan of actions to be implemented by the committee. — MNA
