World Cup Qualifiers: Myanmar trounce MSAR 5-1

Myanmar edged Macau 5-1 in the Asian Zone Qualifiers for FIFA World Cup 2026 played at Thuwunna Stadium in Yangon yesterday.
Winning goals for Myanmar were scored by Lwin Moe Aung at 43 minutes and 90+4 minutes, Soe Moe Aung at 62 minutes, Aung Kaung Marn at 81 minutes and Nay Moe Naing at 90+1 minutes.
During the game, head coach Michael chose the correct technique and substitutes, so players scored the winning goals in the second half.
In particular, substitute player Aung Kaung Marn’s aggressive moves made the weak Macau team more unstable.
In the 79 minutes, Zaw Win Thein was substituted for Aung Thu. With speedy turbo, team Myanmar dominated the opponent’s defence line. The Myanmar team shaped the big victory in front of the home crowd.
The Myanmar national team is made up of players from domestic clubs, players who are playing in foreign clubs, and U-24 national team players. The current Myanmar team has many well-rounded players.
