Yangon-based pilgrim services required to obtain tourism certification

The service businesses for domestic pilgrims based in the Yangon Region must apply for tourism service business certification
According to the Domestic Pilgrim and Tour Operator Association, only domestic pilgrims and tourism service members must apply for the certification, therefore business operators who have not yet joined the association must apply for membership by 31 December.
Starting from 1 January 2024, the relevant departments will monitor whether Yangon-based domestic pilgrimage tourism businesses are providing services in line with the requirements.
According to the Domestic Pilgrim and Tour Operator Association, 603 members are operating in domestic pilgrimage services. — TWA/TKO
