Yangon Mayor inspects city drainage system

Minister for Yangon Region Development Affairs Mayor U Bo Htay inspected the construction of a water ground tank in Thaephyuchaung in Miyata Ward of Mingala Taungnyunt Township together with YCDC deputy chairman, secretary and members yesterday.
The water ground tank is constructed at the confluence of Thaephyuchaung and drainage canal so that the water can be temporarily stored at high tide and flood can be also prevented in Mingala Taungnyunt and Pazundaung townships.
Then, the mayor and party also examined the construction of Linear Park on the old Thakayta Bridge over Pazundaung Creek and gave necessary instructions.
The officials went to the construction site of RC Ground Tank that can store 100,000 gallons of water in Yangon City Hall of Kyauktada Township at noon and offered necessary guidance.—MNA
