Yangon region unveils nine new destinations to enrich tourism landscape

The Yangon Region Hotels and Tourism Directorate has announced the development of nine new destinations, including Yangon University, aimed at attracting foreign tourists to the Yangon tourism market.
As a tourist destination in the Yangon Region, there are 28 recreational areas such as pagodas, gardens and museums.
As new destinations, Yangon University, Chin Tsong’s OBE Palace, Ancient Portuguese Cathedral or Nazinka tomb, Martyrs’ Mausoleum, U Ottama (or) Kandaw Mingala Park, Shari Kali Temple, Mausoleum of Bahadur Shah Zafar Shah (the King and great poet of the Mughal Empire), Pilakat Hindu Temple, and Kyaik Pyatthanataw Kaungmmu Pagoda have been reported as the nine newly developed locations. —TWA/KZW
