YBS trainees invited to fill vacancies created by dismissal of undisciplined drivers

Yangon Region Public Transport Committee (YRTC) has invited new bus driver trainees to replace the vacancies left by the dismissal of undisciplined drivers, said U Lyan Cin Mang, joint secretary of YRTC.

“We are now dismissing some who have shortcomings rule-breaking records. If a driver has broken red-light traffic rule for three times, he will be dismissed. We will replace those positions,” he said.

As a result, Yangon Bus Public Company Limited will open “YBS Bus Driving Training 1/2024 with 50 trainees under the supervision of YRTC in the fourth week of 2024.

Applicants must be between 25 to 55 years old, have at least five years of “B” license, and have passed middle school education, and successful candidates will be selected after their basic driving skills are checked.

“The objective of giving this training course to meet the demand for drivers for YBS buses operating in Yangon,” a training official said.
