YCDC to accept applications for water uptake until Thingyan Eve

The applications for temporary use of water can be submitted until Thingyan Akyo Day (the eve of Thingyan) and action will be taken against the illegal use of water, the Yangon City Development Committee announced.
For the Thingyan Water Festival, water from the municipal water pipeline, Inya Lake and Kandawgyi Lake must not be used without permission, according to the Engineering Department (Water and Sanitation) under the Yangon City Development Committee.
Those who want to apply for use of water must send the applications to the Engineering Department (Water and Sanitation) on the fifth floor of the new 12-storey YCDC annexe by 13 April at the latest and staff from the department will give permission in accordance with the rules and regulations. — TWA/CT
