YESC installs 367 lamp posts on traffic islands along Pyay Road

Yangon Electricity Supply Corporation (YESC) under the Ministry of Electric Power has erected 367 lamp posts on the traffic islands along Pyay Road from the airport traffic light to Min Ye Kyaw Swa Road using the regional budget, according to the YESC.
The lamp posts are being put up on the traffic islands along Pyay Road with 6.71 miles long underground power grid to light up the city and reduce traffic accidents.
A total of 367 lamp posts with 765 bulbs will be installed in three phases, Phase I – from airport junction to Parami junction, Phase II – from Parami junction to Hledan overpass and Phase III – from Hledan overpass to Min Ye Kyaw Swa Road using the regional budget of the 2022-2023FY.
Moreover, seven additional 11-6.6/0.23 kV, 50 kVA transformers will be also installed, the YESC said. — TWA/GNLM
