YR govt to host Vietnamese donors’ ceremony at Shwedagon on 1 June

The Yangon Region government office has announced that a ceremony for Vietnamese donors to present rice and offerings to 5,555 Sayadaws will be held on 1 June at the Shwedagon Pagoda.
Arrangements are being made to ensure that Vietnamese donors and guests can make their donations conveniently on the platform of the Shwedagon Pagoda. The Sangha, including the chairman of the State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee, will be invited to the event.
The Yangon Region government is organizing the ceremony at the Shwedagon Pagoda in collaboration with the Shwedagon Pagoda Board of Trustees, the Department of Religious Affairs (Yangon Region), the Yangon Region Private Transport Committee, and the No 2 Traffic Police Division Commander’s Office. — ASH/MKKS
