YRIC nods five domestic, foreign enterprises to create over 1,700 jobs

YRIC manages approval for investments in projects in Yangon Region with attraction of local and foreign investments.

The Yangon Region Investment Committee (YRIC) endorsed five domestic and foreign enterprises with an estimated capital of K8.95 billion and US$7.02 million at the recent meeting 12/2023 held on 27 December, creating over 1,700 jobs for residents.
Among them, three are enterprises invested by Myanmar citizens and two are wholly foreign-owned enterprises.
Those endorsed enterprises will execute apparel manufacturing on a Cutting-Making and Packaging basis designated for absolute export, value-added rice production of international standard, various pulses milling, and processing for 100 per cent exports, cutting and trimming construction stone for the domestic market, and wearing apparel production on a CMP basis.
At the meeting, nine companies also raised general matters. — NN/EM
