16 killed in 34 traffic accidents nationwide during Maha Thingyan

In the Maha Thingyan period across the nation, 34 traffic accidents happened, claiming 16 lives and injuring 55, according to the office of the traffic police (Nay Pyi Taw).
Compared with last year’s Thingyan period, the number of traffic accidents decreased.
During Thingyan, the traffic police formed traffic control teams to clear the traffic jam in preventing the occurrence of traffic accidents across Myanmar and devised ways to provide timely assistance in the event of traffic accidents.
In the 2022 Thingyan period, 37 traffic accidents occurred across Myanmar, leaving 11 dead and 65 hurt. — MNA/MKKS
