17,245 elderly people vaccinated against COVID-19 in Singaing

To date, a total of 17,245 elderly people aged 55 and above have been vaccinated against COVID-19 in Singaing Township, Kyaukse District in Mandalay Region, healthcare officials said.
Health workers, Township Staff from the General Administration Department, members of the fire brigade, Township Red Cross members, members of charity organizations, ward and village administrators participated in the vaccination programme.
Awareness raising and disinfection are being carried out to prevent the spread of COVID-19 infection in Singaing Township, officials said.
Up to 15 November, 5,885 people have been vaccinated for the first dose and the township Public Health Department will give the vaccines to the remaining people in the township, according to the Township Public Health Department officials. – Win Win Than (Singaing)/GNLM
