The final matches plus the awarding ceremony for the 2023-2024 Inter-State/Region Billiard and Snooker Championship was held at Wunna Theikdhi Stadium in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday morning.
State Administration Council members, Union ministers, deputy ministers, officials from the Billiard and Snooker Championship and athletes joined the event. They enjoyed the final matches of the Men’s Individual Snooker 15 Red Event, Men’s Individual Snooker 6 Red Event, Men’s Individual 9 Ball Pool Event and Women’s Single 9 Ball Pool Event. Next, the SAC members and officials presented awards to the first, second and third prize winners of the respective events of the 2023-2024 Inter-State/Region Billiard and Snooker Championship.
The tourney was held from 24 February to 1 March with the aim of bringing out the next generation of talented athletes. Reportedly, a total of 13 men’s teams and ten women’s teams competed in the tourney. — MNA/KZL
