21st Myanmar Traditional Medicine Symposium held in Nay Pyi Taw

The 21st Myanmar Traditional Medicine Symposium is in progress yesterday in Nay Pyi Taw.

The 21st Myanmar Traditional Medicine Practitioners Conference and Myanmar Traditional Medicine Symposium were held at the Myanmar International Convention Centre-II in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.
The Sub-Committee Chairman Director-General of the Traditional Medicine Department Dr Su Su Dwe served as patron of the opening ceremony of the Myanmar Traditional Medicine Symposium and members of the Advisory Board on Traditional Medicine Sayagyi U Wa Tun, Rector (retired) Prof Dr San San Nwe of the University of Pharmacy acted as panellists. The patron delivered an opening speech and took commemorative photos.
During the Symposium, Rector (retired) of the University of Pharmacy Prof Dr San San Nwe acted as a patron and members of the Advisory Board on Traditional Medicine Sayagyi U Wa Tun and Deputy Director-General U Than Nyunt of the Traditional Medicine Department served as panellists.
Then, Kachin State representatives Daw Kyi Htay, retired Lecturer/Head of Anatomy Faculty Dr Nwet Win, Kayin State representative Dr Thi Thi Htike, Yangon Region representative U Thein Zaw and Shan State representative U Min Han read out their papers respectively.
At noon, Myanmar Traditional Medicine Council Patron U Myint Lwin chaired the second session and Advisory Board on Traditional Medicine Member U Aung Myat Kyaw and University of Traditional Medicine Rector Prof Dr Thein Zaw Lin acted as panellists.
Then, representatives from Myitkyina of Kachin State, Yangon Region and Rakhine State also read out their papers and the attendees exchanged views on the papers.
Sub-Committee Chairman Director-General of the Traditional Medicine Department Dr Su Su Dwe led the closing ceremony and gave certificates of honour to the participants of the two events. She concluded the ceremonies after saying words of thanks. — MNA/KTZH
