3rd furniture design competition to be held

The 3rd Furniture Design Competition will be held under the title of “Furniture Fits in the Open Air” under the leadership of the city of Hirashikawa, the city of photography in Hokkaido, Japan, and architect Mr Kuma Kengo.
Any citizen is allowed to participate in the furniture competition. Students under the age of 30 who are attending the relevant school (or university) can compete individually (or) as a group. The prizes to be awarded in the competition are one Kuma Kengo Prize, three Excellence Prizes, and six Consolation Prizes.
Those who want to participate in the competition can register for free, and at the time of applying, a clear description of the priority content of the design title, diagram, finished picture, CG model (or) photo etc., to be drawn horizontally on one page of an A3-size paper and sent as a pdf file.
A description of the design must be submitted in English (or) Japanese.
Among contestants, a total of 10 contestants will be selected to attend the award ceremony. Travel and accommodation expenses will be covered by the organizing committee.
Only one representative contestant will be invited to the award-giving ceremony for team contestants.
Those who wish to take part in the competition must register on the website https://www.kagu.higa shikawa.jp by 28 February 2023.
Furniture design applications must be submitted by 31 May 2023.
