48th Anniversary of Rakhine State Day held in Sittway

The 48th Anniversary of Rakhine State Day was celebrated at the U Ottama Hall in Sittway yesterday morning.
It was attended by State Administration Council Member Daw Aye Nu Sein, Rakhine State Chief Minister Dr Aung Kyaw Min, Western Command Commander Maj-Gen Htin Latt Oo, Deputy Minister for Ethnic Affairs U Zaw Aye Maung, Rakhine state ministers, departmental staff, town elders, members of ethnic cultural troupes, students, honourable athletes of Rakhine State and guests.
First, ethnic cultural troupes entertained the audience with their traditional cultural dances. SAC Member Daw Aye Nu Sein read out the message sent by SAC Chairman Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing. Then, the Rakhine State chief minister delivered a speech.
Next, SAC Member Daw Aye Nu Sein, the Rakhine State chief minister, the commander and officials presented the second and third awards for excellence in management, the second award for excellence in agricultural business and the second award for excellence in social affairs to award winners. Then, they continued to present certificates of honour and gave prizes to students who won the essay and painting competitions on Rakhine State Day. Next, Rakhine ethnic cultural troupes performed the song “Pyidaungsu Yae Htawaya Ahla Myar” and took documentary photos.
Afterwards, the photographs of regional development activities in the state were displayed in the hall, and the literature and culture gallery was viewed by the party.
Later, SAC Member Daw Aye Nu Sein and members visited the Rakhine State MSME product exhibition booths and sale centres managed by departmental staff and businessmen at the Khine Thazin Park in Sittway, to mark the 48th Anniversary of Rakhine State Day. They viewed round the various goods and products at the exhibition and coordinated the needs for manufacturing activities to carry out 100 per cent production.
Finally, the party attended the 48th Rakhine State Day commemoration fun fairs and sports competitions at the Danyawady Gymnasium of the Rakhine State Sport and Physical Education Department and gave medals and cash awards to first, second and third winners in sports competitions. — MNA/CT
