A military parade is held to mark the 74th Anniversary of Tatmadaw (Air) in Meiktila yesterday.

A military parade commemorating the 74th anniversary of the Tatmadaw (Air) was held yesterday morning at the Flying Training Base in Meiktila.
Commander-in-Chief (Air) General Maung Maung Kyaw, retired Commanders-in-Chief (Air), Air Base Commanders, officers and other ranks from Meiktila Station and invitees attended the ceremony.
First, the military parade was held as planned, with saluting the national flag and all fallen soldiers. The Commander-in-Chief (Air) inspected the parade companies who took four oaths of allegiance.
Afterwards, the Commander-in-Chief (Air) delivered a speech to mark the anniversary of the Tatmadaw (Air) and left the parade.
Similarly, Paritta reciting ceremony plus alms offering ceremony was held at Aircraft Production and Repair Base.
Members of the Sanghas headed by the Vice-Chairman of the State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee, Yan Myo Aung Ward of Meiktila Sasana Waiponla Pali Learning Centre Presiding Nayaka Sayadaw Agga Maha Pandita Bhaddanta Kovida attended the Paritta reciting ceremony.
Commander-in-Chief (Air) General Maung Maung Kyaw and wife Daw Aung Mar Myint, Air Base Commanders and wives and guests also attended the ceremony.
First, the Commander-in-Chief (Air) and those present at the ceremony received the Five Precepts from the Sayadaw of Sasana Waiponla Learning Centre and then listened to the sermons delivered by the Venerable Sayadaw.
After that, they donated offertories to the monks and listened to the dedication sermon of Sayadaw of Sasana Waiponla Learning Centre.
After that, the congregation shared the merits gained and then donated alms to the Sayadaws. — MNA
