74th Independence Day flag hoisting, saluting ceremonies held in Yangon

Yangon Region government organized the flag hoisting and saluting ceremonies to mark the 74th Independence Day of 2022 yesterday. The ceremonies were held at the Public Square in Yangon in line with the COVID-19 preventive guidelines.
Those present at the ceremonies were Chief Minister of Yangon Region U Hla Soe, Commander of the Yangon Command Maj-Gen Nyunt Win Swe, Chief Justice of Yangon High Court and Region Ministers, Region Advocate-General, Region Auditor-General, senior Tatmadaw officers, departmental officials, representatives of the Myanmar Maternal and Child Welfare Association, Myanmar Women’s Affair Federation, and ethnic people.
The flag hoisting platoon led by Captain Tin Naing Htoo raised the flag at 4:20 am. At 7 am, Chief Minister U Hla Soe of Yangon Region and the attendees saluted the State Flag together with the Guard of Honour. The Guard of Honour also saluted the nation’s fallen leaders and soldiers and took the four-point oath. Afterwards, the chief minister read the message for the 74th Independence Day sent by Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing. — MNA
