Flag hoisting, saluting ceremonies of 74th Independence Day held in Nay Pyi Taw

Ceremonies to hoist and salute the State Flag to mark the 74th Independence Day were held in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.
The event took place in front of Nay Pyi Taw City Hall following COVID-19 health rules.
The ceremony was organized with four national objectives of the 74th Anniversary of Independence Day – (1) All ethnic nationals to safeguard non-disintegration of the Union, non-disintegration of national unity, and perpetuation of sovereignty; (2) To ensure the emergence of a good and clean government and administrative system by implementing a genuine disciplined democracy; (3) All ethnic nationals to amicably and unitedly cooperate in the country development based on the genuine Union spirit; and (4) To strive for restoring perpetual peace the entire people aspire.
The flag hoisting platoon raised the State Flag at 4:20 am together with the ethnic races.
At 6 am, those present at the ceremony were Union Ministers, Union Auditor-General, Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman, Governor of Central Bank of Myanmar, Myanmar National Human Rights Commission Chairman, senior military officers, Judges of the Supreme Court of the Union, the Myanmar Constitutional Tribunal members, Union Election Commission members, Commander of Nay Pyi Taw Command, Deputy Ministers, UCSB members, Deputy Governor of CBM, Nay Pyi Taw Council members, Anti-Corruption Commission members, departmental heads, staff members and national people.

At 7 am, the flag saluting ceremony was organized and the Guard of Honour (Tatmadaw Army, Navy and Air) marched to the City Square.
Next, Chairman of 74th Anniversary of Independence Day Ceremony Organizing Central Committee Vice-Chairman of the State Administration Council Deputy Prime Minister Vice-Senior General Soe Win took the salute of the Guard of Honour.
He then saluted the State Flag together with the Guard of Honour and attendees to the event.
The Guard of Honour also saluted the nation’s fallen leaders and soldiers and took the four-point oath.
Afterwards, the Vice-Senior General read the message sent by SAC Chairman Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing to the 74th Anniversary Independence Day. — MNA
