Nominations for 27th Yamagata Banto prize to be submitted

Nominations can be submitted for the 27th Yamagata Banto Prize, an award given to writers who can make the international community better understand Japanese culture, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The Yamagata Banto Prize has been awarded annually by the Osaka Prefectural Government since 1982 as the Osaka International Cultural Awards in honour of the late Edo-era scholar Yamagata Banto of Osaka, Japan.
The nominee for the Yamagata Banto Prize may include the name of an author and the books he or she has written. Applicants can contact [email protected] by June 30, and the list of winners will be released in March 2022. — MNA
