Myanmar participates in 27th Chongqing Urban Culture and Tourism Festival

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) reported that Myanmar personnel attended the 27th Chongqing Urban Culture and Tourism Festival that was held in Chongqing, Yuzhong District of the People’s Republic of China, where Myanmar’s pearls were showcased at the booth representing Myanmar.

The event, which is being held from 28 to 31 March, features the presence of U Thwin Htet Lin, the Myanmar Consul-General to Chongqing, at the opening ceremony.

The 27th Chongqing Urban Culture and Tourism Festival is organized by Chongqing Municipal Government Culture and Tourism Development Committee and Yuzhong District People’s Government. The report also states that officials and responsible persons from Chongqing Municipal Government Culture and Tourism Development Committee, Yuzhong District Government, Consulate-Generals to Chongqing and Chengdu attended the opening ceremony.

Culture and tourism related products from nine countries were showcased at the event. Myanmar pearls were displayed at the booth of Myanmar Consular General office. — ASH/ TMT
