MoHS discusses COVID-19 preventive measures

Union Minister for Health and Sports Dr Thet Khaing Win attended the virtual coordination meeting on COVID-19 preventive measures yesterday.
The Union Minister discussed matters in connexion with the plans to impose stay-at-home order in certain townships with the rapid increase in COVID-19 cases, measures to conduct for people to follow health rules without imposing stay-at-home order, systematic use and procurement of COVID-19 protective gears, the assistance of departments concerned to provide liquid oxygen in general hospitals, treatment for the patients with severe COVID-19 at the public hospitals of Yangon and Mandalay regions, installation of an Oxygen plant and RDT testing.
He then talked about the reagents at Nay Pyi Taw General Hospital (1,000-beds), proper COVID-19 preventive measures not to affect the trade flows, mask campaigns in respective regions and states and preparations for COVID-19 vaccination programmes in the places with high infection rates and for the targeted groups.
Then, the respective regions/states health department officials reported on their work plans, and the Union Minister concluded the meeting. — MNA
