Commerce Ministry operates importation processes as planned

The Ministry of Commerce is making concerted efforts to import the anti-COVID-19 related medical supplies and equipment via air, sea and border trade camps. Moreover, the ministry cooperates with the department concerned to provide services during public holidays from 23 to 31 August in accordance with the SOP.
Yesterday, a toal of 78 tonnes of liquid oxygen, seven tonnes of liquid oxygen cylinders, one oxygen container, one oxygen distributor, 4,964 empty oxygen cylinders, two oxygen plants, one oxygen refill, 597 home oxygen conentrator, PPE suits and masks were imported via Yangon International Airport, Muse, Chinshwehaw, Myawady and Hteekhee border camps. Of four oxygen bowsers, three were distributed to Yangon and one to Mawlamyine, while two oxygen plants were delivered one each to Mandalay and Lashio.

It is reported that the Ministry of Commerce is allowing the importation of COVID-19 devices in accordance with the SOP priority negotiated by relevant departments, and announcements related to the imports of medical supplies and equipment are posted on commerce.gov.mm.—MNA
