Palm oil distributed at reasonable prices

The Ministry of Commerce and Myanmar Edible Oil Dealers’ Association imported the palm oil at the CBM reference rate and sold it at fairer prices for the public beginning 20 September. A total of 3,026,650 visses of palm oil equal to 4,946 tonnes have been sold in Yangon, Mandalay, Sagaing, Bago and Magway regions and Shan State to date.
The officials arrange oil tankers to sell in the wards of Yangon and also will provide trucks in regions/states.
The palm oil wholesalers will have to resell the oil not more than 2 per cent of net profit at retail outlets and the wholesalers/retailers can contact Myanmar Edible Oil Dealers’ Association at 09-444437295 and 09-401527049 and Department of Consumer Affairs, Yangon Region at 01-250270 and 09-43666668 to buy the palm oil. — MNA
