4 mln of Sinopharm vaccine purchased from PRC arrive in Yangon

Of the 24 million doses of Sinopharm COVID-19 vaccine purchased from the People’s Republic of China, another 4 million doses arrived at Yangon International Airport yesterday morning and were received by a delegation led by the head of the Yangon Region Public Health Department.
The newly-arrived vaccines will be distributed to respective regions and states by road transports, and with the help of the Tatmadaw (Air) and Myanmar Airways by keeping them under the required temperature.
As of 14 October, a total of 10.9 million people in Myanmar received the COVID-19 vaccines across the country whereas 4.3 million have been fully vaccinated with two doses, and 6.6 million were jabbed with the first dose.
Those who have received their first dose of the vaccine are encouraged to visit the nearest immunization centre for the second dose, and the people are urged to actively participate in the vaccination activities. — MNA
