K-pop artistes arrive in Yangon for Thingyan cultural exchange

A group of Korean K-pop artistes arrived in Yangon yesterday evening to participate in cultural exchange activities during the traditional Thingyan.
The first batch consists of 24 artistes, including actor Baek Eun Hee, known for roles in various series and movies, as well as K-pop singers Rejen and Henny, the 7 Kids Doll Group, Astel Dance Group, and Dj-Saemi. Upon their arrival at Yangon International Airport, the Korean artistes were warmly welcomed by officials from Myanma Radio and Television, along with Korean language students from Yangon University of Foreign Languages. They greeted the guests by waving flags of both countries and holding placards with the artistes’ names and photos. Additionally, students from the School of Fine Arts welcomed the guests with traditional Myanmar drum performances.
The artistes will be accommodated at Thamada Hotel before heading to Nay Pyi Taw on 10 April. Two more groups of K-pop artistes are expected to arrive in Yangon on 11 and 14 April, respectively. They will be performing at the Friday Night Live Show of Myanma Radio and Television on 12 April. — MNA/TRKM
