647 prisoners released from Insein Central Prison

The State Administrative Council issued the amnesty order (Amnesty Order No. 186/2021 and Order No. 187/2021, and 647 prisoners from Insein Central Prison were released on amnesty.
The release of prisoners who have been pardoned from Insein Central Prison was held yesterday evening at the Indoor Central Stadium compound of Insein Central Prison in Yangon Region.
Member of the Yangon Region Administration Council Colonel Win Tint, Council Secretary U Soe Soe Zaw, the Yangon Region Police Chief, Yangon Region Director for Department of Prisons, officials and amnesty prisoners attended the event, with member of the Yangon Region Administration Council Colonel Win Tint, and Yangon Region Police Chief Myo Min Htike, delivering speeches.
The released prisoners were then escorted by YBS vehicles to the respective townships.
Of the prisoners released from Insein Central Prison yesterday, 99 were male prisoners and 150 were females, and the remaining 497 will be released on the morning of 19 October. —Nyein Thu (MNA)/GNLM
