Kengtung Township provides free screening for COVID-19

Kentung locals get tested for COVID-19.

With the aid of RDT test kits, free screening for the COVID-19 virus was provided to local people in villages of Kengtung Township on 26 October to reduce the rate of the pandemic infection as soon as possible, officials said.
To help local people in the villages in Kengtung township and reduce the incidence of the virus, a total of 635 people were tested free of charge with the RDT Test Kit.
A total of 28 people were tested positive for the virus and are under treatment at present at an medical ward of the hospital.
Screening for the COVID-19 virus was carried out in urban areas and villages in Kengtung Township.
Chairman of the Township Administration Body U Hlaing Maung Maung, departmental staff, members of the police force, military doctors, health workers, members of the fire brigade, members of the Red Cross carried out the screening processes in collaboration with social organizations. —Aung ZinMyint (IPRD)/GNLM
