MoC facilitates importation of anti-COVID-19 devices, medicines

A bowser is carrying liquid oxygen from Myawady to Yangon.

The Ministry of Commerce is working hard to ensure people have access to essential medical supplies which are critical to the COVID-19 prevention, control and treatment activities.
Yesterday, one bowser containing 20 tonnes of liquid oxygen, one oxygen plant, 80 oxygen concentrators, 1,000 PPE suits and three tonnes of masks were imported through the Chinshwehaw and Myawady border trade centres.
20 tonnes of liquid oxygen was transported to Yangon from the Myawady border trade centre, and the oxygen plant to Danubyu town, Ayeyawady Region.
It is reported that the Ministry of Commerce is giving priority to the import of essential medical supplies required in prevention, control and treatment of COVID-19 in accordance with the SOPs coordinated with the relevant departments in order to avoid delays, and announcements and notices related to the import of medicines and related products have also been made available to the public on the Ministry’s website, commerce.gov.mm.—MNA
