Palm oil distributed at reasonable prices in different states, regions

THE Ministry of Commerce and Myanmar Edible Oil Dealers’ Association imported the palm oil at the CBM reference rate of USD12 million and sold it at K4,240 per viss at wholesale price in different states and regions for the public beginning 9 November.
A total of 5,545,980 visses of palm oil equal to 9,062.05 tonnes have been sold in Yangon, Mandalay, Sagaing, Bago, Magway, and Taninthayi regions, Nay Pyi Taw, Shan State and Mon State to date.
Officials arrange oil tankers to sell in the wards of Yangon and also will provide trucks in regions and states.
The palm oil wholesalers will have to resell the oil not more than 2 per cent of net profit at retail outlets and the wholesalers and retailers can contact Myanmar Edible Oil Dealers’ Association (No. 104/108, Strand Street, Lutlat Yay Quarter, Ahlon Township) at 09-444437295 and 09- 401527049 and Department of Consumer Affairs, Yangon Region at 01-250270 and 09-43666668 to buy the palm oil. — MNA
