Regions & states host book distribution ceremonies

With the aim of developing libraries throughout Myanmar, donation and book distribution ceremonies were held yesterday in states and regions.
At the ceremony, the regional and state chief ministers gave speeches and accepted the donations and books donated by the donors. For the development of libraries throughout Myanmar, the Kachin State Government and donors donated K10 million, while the Kayah State Government and donors donated K16.5 million and 200 books.
Kayin State government organizations and donors donated K10.055 million and 2,148 books, while Chin State government and donors donated K12.78 million, Sagaing regional government and donors donated K81,216,100 and 2,230 books while Taninthayi region government and donors donated K22,810,000 and 647 books. The Bago Region government and donors donated K42.3 million and 3000 books, while the Magway Region government and donors donated 356 books and K32,390,000. The Mandalay Region government and donors donated K20,810,000 and 4,008 books, while the Mon State government and donors donated K30 million and 500 books.
The Rakhine State government donated K11.9 million and 297 books, while Yangon Region government, organizations and donors donated K82,740,000 and 4,820 books. The Shan State government and donors donated K42,411,580 and 2,035 books, and Ayeyawady Region government and donors donated K9,165,000 and 10,613 books.
Region and state chief ministers and officials accepted and returned certificates of honour to donors. After the ceremony, regional and state chief ministers and officials viewed the displayed books. — MNA/KZL
