SAC members, Union Ministers meet with Lisu ethnic nationalities in Myitkyina, Kachin state

Members of the State Administration Council: Jeng Phang Naw Taung, U Moung Har, U Sai Lone Hsai and U Shwe Kyein, together with Union Minister for Border Affairs Lt-Gen Tun Tun Naung, Union Minister for Immigration and Population U Khin Yi and Union Minister for Ethnic Affairs U Saw Tun Aung Myint, Kachin State Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nan, Commander of Northern Command Brig-Gen Myat Thet Oo met local Lisu ethnic nationalities at the office of Lisu Literature and Culture Central Committee of Myanmar’s office in Myitkyina yesterday.
At the meeting, SAC member Jeng Phang Naw Taung, Union Ministers Lt-Gen Tun Tun Naung, and U Saw Tun Aung Myint addressed the meeting, and Chairman of the Lisu Literature and Culture Central Committee of Myanmar U Arphu Rilimi expressed words of thanks and handed over Lisu traditional Zar Zaws to the SAC members, the Union Ministers, the Chief Minister of the state and the commander. The meeting was also included Lisu traditional performances, and the performers were also awarded with cash awards.
Afterwards, the SAC members and Union Minister Lt-Gen Tun Tun Naung inspected the construction site of the Ayeyawady Bridge (2) in Myitkyina, visited the university library and met with the rector and professors of Myitkyina University, and the construction of 10-track 50m x 25m swimming pool of the Department of Sports and Physical Education in Myintkyina.—MNA
