As the project area is located in the tropical region, trees must be grown in the edge of the project area and vacant areas for creating the greening environment, Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing was quoted as saying in inspecting the progress of Mandalay Myotha Industrial Park City Project in Mandalay Region yesterday afternoon.
At the project site, the project chairman explained the implementation of the project with the use of a scale model.
The chairman of the project and General Manager Dr Tun Tun Aung reported to the Senior General on plans to invite investments to the industrial zone and to generate job opportunities, and potentials to manufacture value-added products with the use of agricultural and livestock products.
In his speech, the Senior General said that as the project area is located in the tropical region, trees must be grown on the edge of the project area and vacant areas for creating a greening environment.
Businesspersons are urged to seek the approvals of the Myanmar Investment Commission and relevant ministries under the procedures so as to promptly carry out the tasks.
As it is a dry area with the least rainy days, efforts should be made for generating electricity through solar power.
At Mandalay Region Livestock Zone in Myingyan and Ngazun townships, officials of Mandalay Region Farmland Management and Statistics Department and Region Irrigation and Water Utilization Management Department reported on plans for allotment of more than 3,000 acres of land as the livestock zone between Myingyan and Ngazun townships and supply of water in the zone.
The Senior General stressed the need to consider a systematic livestock system for livestock zones suitable for the region to have success, setting an area for building solar plants to generate electricity for pumping water from the river and electrifying the livestock zone.
If so, the zone will take profit, and the setting of the livestock zone must be under the law. — MNA
